Members of the Church of England parish of East Greenwich (Christ
Church, Holy Trinity and St George’s) came together for a parish litter
pick and prayer walk.
The group wanted to do something as part of their Christian commitment to caring for the world. They were really pleased to find out that the council were able to supply all the bags and litter picking equipment for the day.
The group focused on parts of the parish where litter is particularly bad, on Christ Church Way, the underpass on Tunnel Avenue, Millenium Way, under the bridge on Bugsby Way, and behind ASDA. Members enjoyed greeting people along the way and prayed for particular local concerns.
