We had a great time yesterday at Messy Church goes

We had a great time yesterday at Messy Church goes Wild in the sun. We remembered that God notices the little things - every mini beast, Zacchaeus (who wasn’t tall enough to see Jesus passing and climbed a tree to see!), and of course sees and loves us too, even amongst all the other people!

Next month we’ll be thinking about water 💧🚿 🛁 ☔️

Join us on Wednesday for Messy Church goes Wild 😀 - here is a small pile of craft stuff waiting for its moment on Wednesday afternoon - we’ll be thinking about mini beasts and the story of Zacchaeus - there’ll be junk modelling, planting sunflower seedlings and various games, and (very non-compulsory) edible crickets for the brave!! From 3.15pm at St Mary Magdalene, gate by the Bugsby’s Way roundabout.

This Wednesday - Messy Church goes Wild 🌺☀️🌻🌿🌳🪵 Join us for all sorts of activities around sowing and growing (and making origami boats and a trail of clues to hunt). There will be hot dogs (and the usual hot chocolate!)

He is risen! Happy Easter! Hope it’s been a lovely Easter weekend. We had a great time yesterday having Communion on the beach followed by bacon rolls and Buck’s Fizz. Tide was out, sun was out, and there was much Easter joy 🌺✝️🐣🥳☺️

As we celebrate Easter this weekend, we’ll be ru

As we celebrate Easter this weekend, we’ll be running some interactive prayer stations in the Prayer Space on Friday between 4 and 5.30pm. It’s all self-directed - there’ll be some stations with various activities, background music and the chance to sit and reflect for as long as short as you like.

On Sunday morning we’ll be on the beach by the yacht club - for a short communion service followed by prosecco and bacon rolls (non-alcoholic / vegan / gf option available!) All welcome as we celebrate Easter Sunday!

For the weeks that are a bit less of all-age focus you are welcome to bring things for kids to do - we have a few bits and pieces to read / build / colour in if the grown-ups are being a bit too grown-up… Any questions give me a shout - and there are plans afoot for a monthly after-church lunch, so do watch this space for dates.

We’re really excited to be launching Messy Church goes Wild! It’s a spin-off of the original Messy Church, which is a monthly church-ish gathering for families of all shapes and sizes, involving fun activities, celebration and food. Messy Church goes Wild is a chance to get a bit involved with the natural world, which is so important for all of us, wellbeing-wise. We’ll be starting on Wednesday 2nd March at 3.30pm - and if you’d like to know more about volunteering opportunities we’re having a meeting at 2.30pm on Sunday at Christ Church East Greenwich. This week we’ll be kicking off our new series by thinking about what it means to be known and loved by God. All welcome, whether you’ve been a Christian for years or you wouldn’t consider yourself a Christian at all.

Excited that our morning church services are going

Excited that our morning church services are going weekly for Advent, starting this Sunday, 28th Nov, 10.30am at St Mary Magdalene School. All welcome, children included (I'll put a few bits and pieces out to play with!)

AND on 19th Dec at 4pm we're having a special Christmassy service for families (of whatever shape and size), involving lantern-making, a walk-through Christmas story, and finishing outside with a stable and a crib, a firepit and marshmallows and hot chocolate.

We'll be having a short Remembrance Day service today, Sunday 14th, at 10.55am at the war memorial (at the John Harrison way end of Central Park). It'll be roughly 15-20 mins, and led by Barbara Moss.

Obviously we'll be starting on time, to get to the 2 minute silence at the right moment.
